EPISODE REVIEWS

Episode Context

Coming off the promotion quest in Episode 4, this episode pivots from external challenges to internal ones, placing Ciel's backstory and personal pressures at the center. At the near-midpoint of a 12-episode season, it functions as a character-deepening beat that strengthens the emotional foundation before the back half ramps up. The dynamics explored here between Toto and his companions are positioned to carry significant weight in the episodes that follow.
