The Seven Deadly Sins Arc Review

Meliodas unleashing his demon mark should have been one of those unforgettable, jaw-dropping anime moments—and in some ways, it is. The raw intensity, the shift in tone, and the sheer power on display perfectly reflect what Nakaba Suzuki built in the manga. But as a fan, I can’t ignore the inconsistency in animation quality right when it matters most. Some cuts look amazing, others feel rushed, and it breaks immersion during what should be a fully cohesive climax. I also expected more refined choreography, especially after the buildup across previous episodes hinting at Meliodas’ true power. The emotional weight is there, the concept is strong, but the execution doesn’t fully deliver on the promise, leaving a slightly bittersweet impression.
