Episode Context

Sitting just before the season's midpoint, 'Father and Son' continues the reflective thread established in the previous episode where Ban began revisiting his past, deepening his backstory before the Commandments arc escalates. King's direct confrontation with Meliodas plants seeds of internal conflict that will pay off in later episodes. This emotional groundwork sets the stage for 'Where Love is Found,' shifting the Sins from introspection back toward the larger battles ahead.
