I appreciate the animation difference; it almost feels like I can see how someone drew all these panels. Very comicbook-esq, I also really like the music in this show, I'm not sure where the plot is going, which is my only criticism about this show, but we'll see.

I've heard of this anime before, and also heard about how mixed everyone was about it. And I've understood why. The animation itself isn't bad, it looked rotoscoped despite not mentioned to be. I think what made it jarring was the lack of SFX in EVERY scene, like the destruction lacking dust cloud, or when people are hurt there's not a splash of blood. The OST is also lacking and doesn't add to the atmosphere, especially that first fight scene. The writing hasn't shown its muscles yet, but this is still the first episode, let's see the next one.

Boring. I don't like this type of genre. The opener is unique, sure, but it's something I'll drop immediately. Not a huge fan of slow animation. It defeats the purpose of the action theme. Feels weird to me. But I'll give it a chance. Maybe the story has more to it.
