I was stressed and in awe the whole episode because that was the most beautiful and satisfying way to end the season😭everything played out really well and the payoff from episodes of just endless planning and game of wits was rewarded perfectly! The animation and soundtrack in this episode was also immensely beautiful, especially when I heard the song at the end✨

What an absolutely peak ending this was! I love how this exceeds the expectations of not just Ray, but even us the viewers who may share his line of thinking. Norman's definitely worked so far ahead in his time and it paid off so well. And that ending - it feels so heartbreaking that this is where we part ways with Mama, after everything that has happened. Overall, a wonderful series to watch!

The opening of this anime is both heartwarming and eerily tense. Strong character dynamics and a gentle pace create comfort, while small details suggest a deeper story. It’s a captivating introduction that gives a tone of the entire plot.

A nerve-wracking finale that hits hard emotionally. Every move feels risky, every moment tense, as hope and fear collide. The payoff is deeply satisfying, driven by courage, trust, and the weight of everything the characters have endured.

A finale that feels earned without over-explaining itself. Emma stays at the emotional core, with Ray and even Phil adding subtle but meaningful presence. Isabella’s role here is handled with a lot of nuance—less spectacle, more impact.

The finale. what hit me here was the final shots the way the light hits their faces, the callbacks to episode one. emotional weight is heavy. they're not safe. this show is a masterpiece. 🌅

satisfying and emotional finale that balances tension with payoff. The wall escape sequence is thrilling, while quieter moments—like Isabella watching from afar—add depth. It closes the arc on a hopeful yet reflective note without overexplaining.

What an amazing world built- the pace, the world, the characters- they literally had everything for this anime to go well and it did go well for the first season. The characters were my favorite part of the show, they were so well written and executed, until the second season.

This episode is a bit intense. You also know if a show is good if it gives you conflicting feelings. I have already had some disagreements with friends about how they feel about some characters. I would happily say this is a good DYSTOPIAN show.

Season 1 was a spectacle but season 2 lost the momentum

I love this anime so much but the second season literally blow this anime to the ground but if you want to continue this anime just try read it in manga, there's a lot of details in there compared to the 2nd season but if I were to rate this it would be 9/10.

EPISODE CONTEXT

As the twelfth and final episode of Season 1, this is the culmination of everything — from Emma's horrifying discovery in Episode 1 through Norman's strategic gambits, Ray's revelations, and the children's painstaking preparations finalized in Episode 11. The episode resolves the central escape arc that has driven the entire season while deliberately leaving threads open, establishing the foundation for the story's next phase beyond Grace Field House.
