This finale is a complete narrative failure because it completely abandons organic storytelling. Instead of animating the remaining manga arcs, the studio lazily condenses years of character development into a silent, rushed slideshow. It leaves massive plot holes, ruins the pacing, and strips away all emotional weight. A total disaster.

The ending was expected, but was super fast. We didn’t get to see how Emma, Ray, and Norman changed the demon world. It was snapshots of what happened after leaving to the demon’s world. Such a wasted opportunity. It felt like they had perfect pacing for most episodes, only to rush the ending just like that. Also, I thought that Sonju wanted to eat wild children? Was the plot for that forgotten?

A tear-jerker for me. I just wish that more scenes are included when they are living in the human world, and if the demon world was fixed. They just shared snapshots which made me feel it's rushed. They can make 1 whole episode for those scenes. It will give proper conclusion.

Where do I even begin🥲 I mean aside from the many plot holes and questions towards the end of the episode that was only explained to us in literal individual still frames, that was somewhat an okay way to wrap the whole series IF you’re coming from someone who strictly and only watches the anime. But as someone who has read the manga, this was suchhh a disappointment! By cutting a huge portion of the important arcs that was meant for world building and was essential for the plot point, what was left in the anime just felt so rushed and even with the parts we DID get, there was so many potential to make it better but they just threw that under the bus😭

Look how they killed my boy...
There was so much content that was cut including the ACTUAL ending to the manga. While the 1st season was great and got me into the series in the first place, the 2nd season was quite a disappointing follow-up to what is a fantastic series overall.

EPISODE CONTEXT

As the final episode of an 11-episode season, this concludes the children's post-escape journey and the confrontations that escalated through the previous episodes, particularly the intense standoffs of Episode 10. It shifts from the strategic survival tension that drove the season into a reflective epilogue mode, attempting to provide closure for the character arcs while gesturing toward possibilities beyond the season's scope.
