Episode Context

Picking up directly from the buildup in 'The Brown Bear,' this episode continues the Ryoma-Fuji practice match that's been escalating and uses the intra-team dynamic to deepen both characters before external competition resumes. Sitting at episode 40 of 178, the series is still firmly in its early phase of establishing Seigaku's internal hierarchy and individual player identities. The next episode, 'Trouble,' pivots toward the team's preparations for outside challengers, making this a key transition point from internal rivalry to unified front.
