Episode Context

After episodes 116 and 117 established the weight of Seigaku's finals matchup against the dominant Rikkai Dai, episode 118 fires the starting gun on the championship itself with the second doubles pairing. This is the transition from preparation to execution, marking the point where every match carries elimination-level stakes. It feeds directly into episode 119's 'Tightrope Walking Doubles,' suggesting this contest intensifies before any outcome is reached.
