The mystery around Erika also became more interesting here, and we get to know more about Mikado's father. The visuals and creepy sound effects were done nicely.

These guys are really brave for entering that house… it truly had a haunted house vibe. The story was very creepy and filled with so much tension because of the things they were doing. I liked this episode because it introduced the other characters in the story even more. And somehow, they revealed the connection between Sensei and Mikado, it was kinda unexpected twist. I honestly didn’t expect it, hahaha !!

This episode is such a rollercoaster because the mystery around Sensei finally starts to unravel. I loved seeing Erika show a more vulnerable side while Mikado proves how much he has grown

Episode Context

Episode 8 hits the brakes on forward momentum and turns inward. 'Loneliness' is exactly what the title promises, an introspective, emotionally heavy installment that strips back the supernatural mystery in favor of raw character work. Expect a slower, more contemplative pace as Mikado and Hiyakawa each grapple with isolation in their own ways, testing the foundation of their uneasy partnership. The horror elements take a backseat to psychological weight here; the real threat is what's happening inside these characters, not around them. The BL dynamics deepen through vulnerability rather than spectacle. This is a mood piece, somber, quiet, and deliberately paced. Fans who connect with the show's character-driven side will find this rewarding. Those watching purely for plot progression should temper expectations, as this episode prioritizes emotional groundwork over narrative twists.
