The first half was a nice continuation of the previous episode and made room for more future character interactions. The second half was nice and cute, the tone and atmosphere switches back to the regular slice of life genre with little to no big add-ons to the main plot.
This anime somehow keeps making adorable yokai stories emotionally meaningful. Princess Anmo could've been pure comedy but the episode balances humor with surprisingly sincere feelings. Ashiya keeps proving why he's the perfect partner for Abeno, even if he's still a lovable airhead.
The writing has some solid tension but never gets heavy, especially with their signature comedy breaking it up. They wrap up the quests so effortlessly that the pace feels incredibly smooth.
