Okay the staircase trial had me thinking 'there is no way this stops Anos' and I was right. Lay and Misa's palace scene hit differently though — genuinely did not expect to feel that. Then the ending dropped and I had to sit for a minute. Absolutely wild episode.

Trials episodes can go either way but this one earns it. Each character getting tested in different ways shows how far the group has come since Season 1. The Great Tree Spirit Enyunien is a cool new presence ancient and not immediately friendly to anyone, even Anos. The magic system gets expanded here in ways that matter for later.
