The Misfit of Demon King Academy
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Ages ago, the most powerful Demon King in history, Anos Voldigoad, ended a war between humans and demons by sacrificing himself, expecting to reincarnate into a peaceful world. He does come back, but nothing went according to plan. History's been rewritten, nobody remembers who he actually is, and the academy built specifically to welcome his return labels him a "misfit" because he's too powerful for their tests to even measure. That's the setup for this 13-episode TV series, and honestly, the fun is watching Anos not care at all. He's not angry about being disrespected. He's not brooding. He just casually proves everyone wrong while being genuinely kind to the people around him, like Misha Necron, the quiet girl who becomes his first real ally at the academy. The show knows exactly what it is, Anos will do something absurdly overpowered, like killing someone with his heartbeat, and the series plays it completely straight. It's that deadpan confidence that makes it work rather than feeling repetitive. SILVER LINK. handles the action well, and the orchestral soundtrack gives the whole thing more weight than you'd expect. The mystery of who corrupted demon history and erased Anos from it keeps things moving forward beyond just the power fantasy. If you liked the vibe of The Devil Is a Part-Timer or the demon king school setting of Kyo Kara Maoh, this scratches a similar itch but leans harder into the action side. Worth the 13 episodes.

Never a boring moment with Anos Voldigoad 😅
its amazing
The parents are so chill lol. Pretty nice finale overall too, it wrapped things up in a satisfying way.
I got secondhand embarrassment watching Ray and Misa scene lol. I kinda expected the ending, but the way it was presented still surprised me.
The humans out here with the power of millions behind them, meanwhile Anos has the power of anime idol girls on his side.
That scene with those two was so cute! It’s kinda ironic how the humans were acting like the villains this time instead of the demons. Seeing Anos put them in their place was really satisfying, we love to see it.
Anos is such a natural smooth talker lol I really thought the white-haired guy might be connected to the hero somehow, I kept hoping they’d meet again this episode.
The fight scene felt kinda short and rushed imo and these villains are seriously so underprepared… you’re literally going against the Demon King of Tyranny. Also I was wondering where Sasha went, but she looked so pretty at the end.
I’m sorry but the dramatic cheering in the background took me out lol. And Anos casually creating a new spell on the spot like it’s nothing. That punishment was harsh, but she kinda had it coming :/
The blue ring is so pretty TOT she’s got two rings from Anos now lol, lowkey rooting for them at this point. Also Anos’s parents are honestly so supportive, I love every scene with them.
Bruh the academy really did them dirty this episode. I’m glad Anos immediately saw through what was going on. Also the “union” lowkey just feels like an Anos fanclub at this point lol. And we got introduced to a new guy this episode too, curious to see where that goes.
Oh what the heck Sasha did that all for Misha TOT He really is the demon king for making people willingly follow him, I'm happy for the girls.
I'm surprised the other students are still shocked after seeing what Anos is capable of and I was not ready for that plot twist.
We got a bit more lore about the Demon King this episode, I hope he reunites with the hero again someday. Also that baby suddenly talking in a deep man voice took me OUT lol and what the heck is that last scene??
The MC is ridiculously overpowered lol and some scenes were way more brutal than I expected, but I guess that fits when it’s about demon kings.
Every scene is unexpected, every scene is a climax. They really saved the best for last. A very well written ending.
As always the MC shows his exceptional strategic skills. The skill casting effects is so good, this is more of a battle of wits than of strength. And now the two OP characters finally met. Can't wait for the next episode.
Outclassed, outmatched, and out-powered. The conclusion of an exciting duel between demons and humans. The visuals are good and the story is well written.
This one is a real cliffhanger, i can't wait to see what kind of strategy Anos is cooking up. It is very exciting to see Anos saving the day.
Not much happened here if you are expecting some action. But it is still a good watch for some revelations that will affect the entire season.
