Great episode! We get to see a look into the past of one of the side character's past investigation which gives us intel on what's happening currently in Kambe's life. This episode also showed how the investigative workforce is like and it could really be risky. kinda feel for Cho-san!

This episode reveals the backstories of Chousuke, Takei and Kiyomizu and how a single case changed the course of their lives. I think it also explains why Daisuke chose to join the detective division. Unlike Ep 5, this episode features several twists and I'm very interested to see what happens next especially now that they have cleverly caught one of the suspects.

omg the stakes and tension is HIGH right now and I am all for it😭🫶🏻 they're slowly giving us the background story of these characters and I gotta say, they really nailed the whole mystery aspect of it. The start of the episode honestly made my jaw drop because what😭😭

Episode Context

Episode 7 marks a tonal shift for Balance:Unlimited, pulling back from the procedural momentum to deliver something more introspective and weighted. The title alone signals the thematic territory, this is the series interrogating the moral cost of Daisuke Kanbe's limitless wealth and the friction it creates with Haru Katou's sense of justice. Expect deliberate pacing that prioritizes character backstory and the unraveling of long-buried secrets over action set pieces. Cho-san also gets meaningful screen time as personal and professional lines blur for the cast. CloverWorks leans into atmospheric tension here, making this a quieter but more psychologically rich entry. If you've been waiting for the show to dig beneath its stylish surface and confront the deeper implications of its premise, this is that episode. A necessary slow burn past the season's midpoint.
