First episode definitely got my interest and attention. I literally gasped lol. Loved the introduction to the main characters and I am so excited to continue watching this show! Daisuke is so funny and unpredictable, you genuinely can't predict his next move!

If the goal was to make a flashy first episode then they definitely succeeded. The contrast in personality between Haru and Daisuke is intriguing, I'm curious to see how they'll work together despite their very different approaches to handling situations. The story looks interesting and I'm intrigued to see what future episodes will be like considering how eccentric the plot is. The OP slaps, and the classy jazz soundtrack is a great addition as well. The animation isn't particularly eye-catching but it isn't bad either.P.S. It's quite amusing that there's a tally of Daisuke's expenditures before the ED

I love how the first thing they show us when the episode starts is literally money😭 shows how unhinged the whole thing is HAHA. Like literally I LOVE the characters, especially Daisuke. The plot and humor is GOLD, and I am so hooked even from the first episode HAHA

Episode Context

A slick, high-energy premiere that wastes no time establishing its core hook: what happens when obscene wealth meets detective work? Daisuke Kambe arrives on the scene wielding a bottomless bank account instead of a badge, and the show revels in the absurdity of his methods. Opposite him stands Haru Kato, a by-the-book officer whose sense of justice runs on principle, not capital. The clash between them is immediate and electric, driving the episode's sharp comedic beats while grounding it in genuine tension. CloverWorks delivers polished action sequences and a modern aesthetic that gives the whole affair a stylish edge. Pacing is brisk, the buddy-cop dynamic lands with confidence, and the mystery genre gets a refreshing coat of extravagance. Expect flash, friction, and a premise that demands your attention.
