It’s getting more exciting, more clues, and it’s really intense. The instrumental sound was so amazing, I could listen to it all day. This is what I like in Donghuas. The animation was so smooth and clean but it was more on the dialogue side than action this time.

Episode Context

Positioned at the two-thirds mark of the 12-episode final season, 'Fated' follows the internal and external turmoil of 'Deviated Spirit' by shifting focus to Lan Wangji's past, a strategic narrative choice that deepens character stakes before the season's climactic stretch. The emerging Fierce Corpse threat signals the transition from mystery and character excavation into the large-scale conflict that will define the final four episodes. This is the calm before escalation, designed to arm viewers with the emotional context needed for what comes next.
