First impression is pretty positive so far with this episode. The flying scenes and combat scenes were top-notch. They were fast-paced, immersive, and beautifully animated. I especially liked the POV shots where we get to see the turbulence and the action happening right in front of the cockpit. The attention to detail on the planes as well as the mechanisms on them is a nice touch. The only thing I would say is that the characters don't really stand out for me, but that'll probably change as I watch more of this. I more thing I do want to say is that the sound design is one of the best I've heard so far in an aviation anime. Hopefully the rest of the series will have that same incredible sound design. I'm definitely looking forward taking to the skies in this anime!
