Synopsis

Across the desolate wilderness, resources are scant and survival is the utmost priority. Essential supplies are delivered through the network of zeppelins, relying on protection from mercenary crews piloting single-engine fighter planes. At odds with pirates and political conflict, these brave aviators provide the strongest guard to stability in such dismal lands. Kylie—a talented, hotshot pilot—serves with one such crew: the Kotobuki Squadron. Recruited to the group by her childhood friend Emma, her natural aptitude for flight makes her a key member. Armed with their Hayabusa fighter planes, the six-member squadron is hired to protect people, goods, and society as they continue to engage hardships in their complex world.

And so, we have reached the final battle. I thought the dogfights couldn't get any more insane than the last episode, but they sure outdid themselves in this episode. The Kotobuki were going up against practically everything in their way, from powerful gun turrets, sophisticated aircraft, and highly skilled enemy pilots. All of this has cultivated into some of the best dogfight scenes I've ever watched in anime. This is one series that will live rent-free in my head for some time.

For this episode, all I have to say is wow! So many pilots have joined the fray in this insane metallic mayhem at the skies above. Guns firing everywhere, many planes getting shot down, and large explosions galore - this episode offers it all! Practically no one is safe in the skies, even the famed Kotobuki, especially seeing how skilled Isao is in the cockpit. The series has really peaked here with its insane dogfights and of course, the amazing sound., With one more episode left, hopefully it'll be just as good as this masterpiece of an episode!

This was a pretty crazy episode. So it seems that Julia was right about Isao all along and has every reason to despise the man. Thinking about it now, there was something that felt off about him, but now, it's really shown in this episode. Whatever he was scheming in this episode really pushed Kotobuki Corp to their limit. The dogfights in this one were really crazy and the stakes more elevated than before. It really does seem like a setup for the final battle(s), and I'm ready for them!

A pretty slow-paced episode this time around... mostly. The Kotobuki pilots are out doing their own thing, while Kylie is out and about, trying to finding something to occupy her time. It's mainly a lot of dialogue. However, this episode does reveal some pretty important points to pay attention to. Also, it seems that this is setting up for something big for the upcoming episodes,. Kylie's big battle in this one is hinting at it. Let's see where the next episodes will go from here!

We've seen a lot of dogfighting in this series, but we haven't actually seen a lot of gunfights or hand to hand combat. This episode seems to emphasize that more than the dogfights. After the pirates manage to board the airship for what feels like the first time, its up to the crew along with some of the Kotobuki pilots to take it back. To be honest, I don't think the fights were that amazing; they were kind of stiff and clunky at times. Also, for an elite and well-armed pirate crew, their fighting skills were equivalent to that of a sea sponge. I still like the episode, but I wasn't a fan of the ground fights in this one. At least the dogfights more than make up for it.

It seems like this episode is the turning point for the rest of the series. It starts of with Kotobuki being asked by the Nazarin squadron to extinguish a raging fire at a small town, which they accept. Along with the fire, they also have to deal with those pesky pirates in the sky again. This time, however, the Kotobuki have more than met their match, as they're going up against much more formidable planes and pilots this time around. It's crazy to see them becoming more like the hunted rather than the hunter. It's a great change of pace, and with more formidable opponents showing up, that just means the fights will probably get better from here!

Another fantastic episode. This one is primarily focused on Kylie. It starts off with an amazing dogfight with her old nemesis from the first episode. When I say amazing, I really mean it. From the cloud cover all the way down to the ravine below, both Kylie and the mysterious pilot pulled off a dynamic, beautifully crafted duel. Afterwards, Kylie had to make an emergency landing, where in between trying to repair her plane, we see her childhood, showing her ambition to become a pilot. It's a sad, but also wholesome episode, showing how far Kylie had come. Another one of my favorites for sure!
