It is not every anime that is able to have a memorable intro episode, especially when it has such a huge array of characters to introduce. But Idolmaster is one of those singular ones that separate themselves from the rest with the cunning choice of making the first episode feel like a documentary. A choice that makes this first episode be memorable and nostalgic even after years of first airing.
this first ep is basically a documentary style intro to the whole cast and its honestly such a chill way to start things off hahahahah you get little interviews with everyone about why they even wanna be idols. good foundation ep
A pretty charming start, even if I have mixed feelings overall. The character introductions were handled in a pretty unexpected way, and the cast is already pretty likable. The music, animation, and art are all solid too.
