Synopsis
As the first commoner to attend the prestigious Arnold Academy of Sorcery, Ray White is immediately met with contempt from some of the students hailing from nobility. Unbeknownst to them, Ray's real identity is that of the famous Iceblade Sorcerer—a hero who led the country to victory in a past war and is one of the seven strongest sorcerers alive. Despite his legendary status, Ray wants nothing more than to live out the ordinary school life he never had. Ray quickly makes friends with some of the most influential students thanks to his kind and amiable nature. Unfortunately, as those with nefarious motives begin to make their move, Ray may soon have no choice but to use his true power to preserve the bonds that make his new life worthwhile.

Intense battles unfold with powerful new adversaries while friends fight for survival. Ray’s restraint finally breaks for some real sorcerer action, and the cast gets solid moments amid the fights. It delivers satisfying payoffs but rushes some elements in typical finale fashion.
Lighthearted fun meets rising personal stakes. The cultural festival kicks off with the class maid cafe in full swing, featuring Ray’s special “help.” Rebecca’s arc gains real weight here, blending heartfelt festival enjoyment with heavy undertones. It balances fun group moments with serious conspiracy advancement and subtle romance teases.
A lighter, comedic episode mixing maid cafe preparations with escalating conspiracy around Rebecca. The class prepares for a big event with a maid cafe concept, leading to fun setups; while Rebecca gets more depth, and the cast chemistry remains strong. Blends lighthearted group moments with rising external threats.
A satisfying tournament episode heavy on Amelia’s climactic growth and emotional payoff. It feels like a turning point for Amelia’s arc, giving her a real spotlight with earned growth and heartwarming reconciliation. It delivers strong action, friendship moments, and subtle power teases while advancing rivalries and conspiracy hints.
A mix of heartfelt advice, competitive action, and conspiracy teases makes it one of the stronger episodes. A strong tournament focused episode centered on Amelia’s growth and key matches. It delivers solid action, emotional support from Ray, and escalating external threats with the assassin subplot, blending hype and heart effectively.
A comedic breather episode heavy on disguise gags, new character introductions, and tournament-adjacent interactions. Ray helps lost siblings, builds unexpected connections with rivals from another academy, and deals with new admirers back home. Focuses on charm, comedy, and subtle preparations.
Solid character focused episode centered on training arcs and tournament buildup. Heavy on Amelia’s development and Ray’s supportive but brutal side, with fun club antics and some disguise comedy. The episode strengthens the core cast bonds ahead of what looks like exciting tournament arcs.
A heavy backstory episode with major revelations, intense action, and emotional weight that shifts the tone from school hijinks to serious lore. Flashbacks reveal Ray's wartime past, mentorship under Lydia, and the costs of his immense power. Friends rally around him amid shocking identity truths and new dangers at the academy.
The episode continues building tension beneath the academy’s calm atmosphere while expanding Ray’s friendships and hidden influence. A step up in stakes with the first real taste of Ray’s capabilities. The mix of comedy, rival beatdowns, and cliffhanger setup keeps it engaging.
A fun mix of action from the forest exercise and relaxed day off moments. Character interactions continue to carry the show, especially as Ray’s hidden identity becomes harder to ignore. The power of friendship vibe during the fight feels earned, and the downtime scenes add charm.
The episode slows down to build a genuinely sweet, wholesome dynamic between Ray and his new classmates, offering satisfying, low-stakes comfort viewing. Ray demonstrates surprising skill while forming a team for upcoming practical exercises amid noble rivalries and subtle suspicions.
The episode plays things pretty safe. The strongest part is Ray’s calm personality and the hints about his past as the “Iceblade Sorcerer.” It’s entertaining, but not instantly groundbreaking. It keeps things engaging with confident pacing and enough intrigue to make you continue watching.
They really save the rest of the animation budget for Ray's last fight lol. Honestly, I do not understand why it's always brought up that Ray's the strongest as he time-and-time again is shown to struggle quite a bit. This show only tells the audience things without showing much for it. Also, I saw barely any growth from any character besides Albert especially with Ray, who's suppose to be the main character. I don't hate this show but it's lacking in terms of story. [4.55/10]
How is it the short story has more nuance than this entire anime. Though, I love Lily White, she's an icon I fear. The end had a good mystery which is building.
The maid outfit gag is pretty funny but something about Lydia being jealous throws me off. Also, the movements are very stiff and expressions are lacking consistency.
This was the end of the chavalier, which I think was pretty rushed for a tournament. Now we are moving onto the culture festival. In general, the animation for the fights looked like powerpoint icons but awful.
I respect that there was discussion on something close to depression! I hope that we can see more nuanced takes of it later in the series. Though the animation has been faltering slightly.
This episode was pretty funny for the entry of Lily White and our muscle boys being silly. I enjoyed the armour for the chavalier too!
A nice wrapping up of the series..A good action filled episode with a stunning visual and great pace of the storyline..great character development and storyline..a good conclusion for the ending..
A great story progression..nice pace of storyline with a good character development and bonds..a good way for a filler in story development..an unexpected event occurred that make story more fun and enjoyable
