The Harvest Night
Oshimeter
Synopsis
The town is split in two by a bridge — one side ordinary, the other a lawless place where violence and moral rot are just facts of life. Masato runs the Anulun gang on that darker side, and that's the world he knows. Then Ryoko, a childhood friend from across the bridge, shows up looking for him, and that reunion starts pulling at threads that neither of them can easily put back. This 2-episode OVA from Arms leans into the tension of two worlds colliding through people who used to know each other, and what it costs when someone crosses lines — literal and otherwise. The divided town isn't just a backdrop; it's the whole point. The story uses that geography to ask what happens to people shaped by the side they grew up on, and whether a connection from the past is enough to bridge any of that. It's dark, it doesn't soften its edges, and the character dynamic between Masato and Ryoko carries more weight than you might expect from something this short. If you've watched Bible Black or Discipline and appreciated when a hentai OVA actually bothers to build some atmosphere around its story, this sits in that same space. It's not for everyone, but if you want something with a bit of noir tension underneath the surface, it's worth the two episodes.
