Episode 2 is a step down from Episode 1. The first episode at least had the childhood friendship with Ireena to anchor it. This one is just a series of events—exam, duel, reveal—that happen without building toward anything meaningful. Ard is already overpowered, already famous, already admired. There's no struggle, no growth, no real conflict. The episode is just him existing in a new setting while everyone reacts to how amazing he is.The academy setting had potential, but the episode doesn't do anything interesting with it. The supporting cast is paper-thin, the world-building is inconsistent, and the emotional core is nonexistent.
