En este episodio se baja el ritmo respecto al capitulo anterior, donde Saito y Louise deben luchar por la supervivencia ya que su magia falló. En el camino se encuentran con un soldado enemigo lo que genera un conflicto ideológico entre él y Saito sobre cuáles son sus verdaderas motivaciones para luchar. Es un capítulo con un ritmo dramático mucho más lento y corta la fluidez que se venía viendo.
