Look I know this is peak slop and none of the logic holds up. Students casually knowing about Level 10 spells when the premise was about magic declining for 400 years makes my head hurt. But Ephtal putting the katana in the seam between Seiryu's scales and then laughing while absorbing the Thunder Lance as the Raijin was so absurd I couldn't stop grinning. The mind-link with Marlin in that library scene where she tears up saying her whole training was to support him this day actually sold me on their dynamic more than anything in the series so far. Slop but I'm eating it up
