This episode is a MASTERPIECE of mood, character work, and payoff. The Moonlight Sonata scene is one of the most beautiful sequences in the series, finally an episode that can truly be close to perfection, it's the kind of episode that makes you remember why you LOVED this show.

Episode Context

Sitting at episode 17 of 20, this lands firmly in the season's endgame buildup, directly following the fallout of Rose's flight from the Royal Capital explored in prior episodes. Rose's internal struggle and Cid's quieter character moments here serve as the emotional scaffolding for the escalation to come in episode 18, 'Betting on a Moment.' This is the calm before the storm, personal transformations crystallizing before the final arc demands action.
