Episode Context

Sitting at the near-midpoint of Season 2, Episode 5 follows the fallout from 'Mask of Falsehood' and the Lawless City's web of secrets, deepening the clandestine power struggles that have been building since the season's opening arc. It serves as critical connective tissue, positioning Alpha, Gamma, and the John Smith identity as key pieces before Episode 6 brings that thread to a head. This is the calm before a pivot, the season is done setting the board and is about to start flipping it.
