Episode Context

As the season premiere, this episode serves as the launchpad for Season 2's entire trajectory, transitioning smoothly from the first season's conclusion into a brand-new setting with fresh adversaries and higher stakes. The Lawless City and its ruling monarchs are introduced here as the central stage for the conflicts ahead, meaning everything established in this opener, alliances, threats, power dynamics, will ripple through the remaining eleven episodes. It's a foundation episode designed to hook returning viewers while recalibrating the scope of Cid's shadow operations.
