The episode ramps up the political and personal tensions between the Shimogamo and Ebisugawa families while giving Kaisei a strong spotlight. It cleverly mixes rivalry, hidden motives, and character nuance, making it a pivotal bridge toward the Nise-emon election arc.

This episode, which explains all of our MC's family's remaining political past, is just fine, and I believe it serves only to set up the incoming episode's climax! Overall, the pacing is a bit slow and calm, but the chemistry of our MC's family is currently progressing!
