I love how self-aware this series is about its JRPG leanings. The inside jokes that only RPG fans would know always brings a smile to my face. I did enjoy the return to the actual "dungeon". Solid episode.

The sentient gun subplot is pure chaotic comedy from start to finish. The mana-draining scenes were ridiculous, but the episode still keeps that underlying sense of danger surprisingly well.
