I actually liked how Shizuku beat Issei, because it showed that just being a technical expert isn't enough when it comes to understanding what his father left behind. Issei was so arrogant about his perfect vintage but Shizuku looking for the story in the grapes was what mattered. Also that whole thing with Issei's mom and the affair really changes the stakes
