For all the melodrama of this series, and this episode in particular, it never quite got the passion for wine into me like I think they were going for. Maybe one of the live action versions will pull that off.

Episode Context

Episode 23 brought Shizuku Kanzaki and Issei Tomine to Medoc to expose counterfeit bottles, with Shizuku weighing whether to continue the Apostle competition. Episode 24 converts that Bordeaux visit into the Eighth Apostle challenge, reframing Shizuku's search for understanding of his father as a direct contest with Issei. As the finale, it carries the season's Bordeaux thread and the rivalry the Apostle competition built to its close.
