EPISODE CONTEXT
Sitting at episode 10 of 12, this is deep into the series' final stretch, following the river-set case of episode 9 ('Please Don't Drown in This River') and continuing to sharpen the dynamic between Reiko and Kageyama. While each episode functions as a self-contained mystery, the accumulating interplay between the two leads carries real momentum heading into the last pair of episodes. This case further cements Reiko's growing dependence on Kageyama's insights, a thread that should pay off as the season closes out.
