Episode 26 delivers a bleak and emotionally devastating conclusion that fully embraces the series’ tragic undertones. Rather than offering catharsis, the finale deepens its exploration of identity, humanity, and moral collapse.

Episode Context

Directly following Episode 25's revelatory 'God,' which exposed Asuka's true nature, 'Man' serves as the definitive conclusion to every thread the series has woven across its 26-episode run. The central conflict between Jun and Asuka, built methodically through escalating horror and shifting power dynamics, reaches its apex here. As the final canon episode, it resolves the series' overarching exploration of humanity, monstrousness, and the thin line between them.
