Episode Context

Positioned just past the midpoint at episode 17 of 26, 'Hunger' follows the more externally focused 'Voice' and pivots sharply inward, making Jun's internal deterioration the central conflict rather than outside threats. This introspective beat is critical setup for 'Body,' which escalates the human-versus-devil-beast tension by grounding it in the personal toll Jun has been accumulating. The series is entering its back half, and this episode signals that Jun's psychological endurance is becoming as important as her physical battles.
