EPISODE REVIEWS

Episode Context

The overpowered immortal king navigates something far more dangerous than ancient demons: school politics. Episode 2 pivots from the supernatural action of the premiere into full comedy mode, centering on a class president election that lets the ensemble cast flex their personalities. Expect slapstick humor, exaggerated student rivalries, and the signature contrast of Wang Ling, a being of godlike power, trying to stay invisible while chaos unfolds around him. The episode leans heavily into the show's comedic identity, using the election as a vehicle to introduce classmates and establish the social pecking order. Pacing is brisk and episodic, prioritizing gags and character moments over plot advancement. If you're here for the blend of cultivation-world absurdity with mundane school life, this episode delivers exactly that energy.
