honestly felt kinda flat to me. The episode leaned more into random interactions and “wholesome” moments, but it didn’t really move the story forward, so it just felt like filler. The dark workplace joke that was funny at first is starting to feel repetitive, and nothing really stood out in this episode. It wasn’t bad, just a bit boring compared to earlier episodes.

Shiu and Sero have such strong “co-parenting interns” energy. Married? Not officially. Spiritually? Absolutely.

This episode leaned more into character relationships than plot progression. The academic setting helps flesh out the professional hierarchy. The humor works best when it focuses on subtle interactions rather than exaggerated bits.

Episode Context

As episode 9 of 12, this lands in the final stretch of the season, though the episodic short-form structure means there's no traditional narrative escalation to track. It follows the established workplace dynamic built across Days 1 through 8, continuing to mine humor from the normalized absurdity of the torturers' routine. With only three episodes remaining, viewers should watch for whether the series begins introducing any comedic callbacks or variations on its formula heading into the finale.
