EPISODE REVIEWS

AHHH another "waifu" lol this adds great chemistry and conflict with our "original" couple haha. Pacing is great with fanservice moments, and animation is still great. Tone balances flirty comedy and gothic drama, a romance episode for Vanitas, great episode

Everything flows clean here—dialogue, tension, visuals all syncing perfectly. Vanitas feels unpredictable but calculated, and it’s just fun to watch unfold 🔥

Episode Context

The title says it all. Episode 7 pumps the brakes on mystery and action to zero in on the tangled emotional lives of its central cast. Vanitas, Jeanne, Noé, and Dominique each confront feelings they'd rather keep buried, affection, jealousy, and the messy space between friendship and something more. Bones delivers the episode with their trademark visual polish, leaning into softer character animation and quieter compositions that let the emotional beats land. Expect humor woven through genuine introspection, with the comedic timing keeping things from ever feeling heavy-handed. Pacing is deliberately moderate, giving each character room to breathe and develop beyond their roles in the overarching vampire mystery. This is the kind of episode that recontextualizes every interaction that came before it and sharpens the stakes for everything ahead.
