After returning home, Arthur feels very happy and we can also see the extent of his power after so much training. Likewise, new characters and encounters that can move us, following the event of his loss and being away from his family. A quieter, more familial, and emotional chap

Arthur's reunion with his family and the Twin Horns is nostalgic and heartwarming. The sparring scenes are quite okay but not much story progression. Safe to skip.

Arthur’s return was shown with such heartwarming notions. The only thing to complain about would be the overall animation quality, which makes the flow of the episode go stiff upon realisation. The sparring scene is good, though. And the pace seemed normal too.

Best episode of the middle section. Seeing him back with his parents and meeting his sister for the first time was perfect. It's a rare wholesome moment in a show that's getting darker.

Family reunion time, with a little action mixed in. To be fair, this episode is just okay, with mostly predictable content. That said, the visual quality has improved. While the animation isn’t particularly impressive, it’s not bad either.

Family reunion hits different after everything. Slice-of-life vibes mixed with power flex moments. Not flashy, but it grounds Arthur’s motivations again.

It’s all about the grind and finally seeing someone push Arthur past what he could teach himself. The way they explain how he’s leveling up his mana control makes the whole magic system feel way more grounded and real.

Skipped content, bad adaptation really. Pacing balances daily life with hints of larger plots. Tone mixes slice of life with foreshadowing.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Positioned at the two-thirds mark of this 12-episode season, episode 8 serves as a crucial transition point — Arthur's training arc has concluded, and his return home provides the emotional grounding needed before the story pushes forward. The previous episode wrapped up his time away, and this reunion establishes the personal stakes that will inform his next chapter. What follows is Arthur stepping into a mentorship role, signaling a shift from student to guide that will likely define the season's final stretch.
