Finally delivers real tension. What starts as a normal quest quickly turns dangerous. Yet, Arthur stays calm and smart, while Jasmine keeps her guard up. You can feel something is wrong the whole time. The sudden chaos caused tension, making this a strong and exciting episode.

Things are finally becoming more interesting... and dark. The party has just been formed, and they're already being put to the test. 😭 This is honestly better than the previous episodes so far this season. The animation seems to be getting a bit better, too? I hope!

The plot is moving along steadily although it seems slow. And I feel like the suspenseful and foreboding moments could have been better. Still, looking forward to the next one!

I'm just so confused at this point. Why do I not remember any of these happening when I read this before? Was the plot always this weird? Even that Brald decision at the end looked underbaked

Tbf the animation here looks better than the previous episodes. But the overall execution is still pretty awkward T^T why am I still watching this, you ask? Idk, hoping that it gets better somehow soon?

Lucas is the absolute worst and he actually tried to use Samantha as a human shield before running away like a coward plus seeing Note grab him by the throat was extremely satisfying

Lucas is literally the worst character and seeing Arthur grab him by the throat was so satisfying after he left everyone to die

That worm monster was terrifying and Arthur taking over leadership was the right move because Brald clearly had no idea what he was doing in that volcanic death trap

The animation looked way better this week and those fire spells from Lucas were actually impressive even if he is a total coward who abandoned Samantha

I cannot believe Oliver just got crushed like that and the way Brald got tricked by a fake map made the whole vibe so much darker than I expected

EPISODE CONTEXT

Landing at the season's midpoint, this episode transitions directly out of Arthur's homecoming and pushes him into new, high-stakes territory — signaling a shift from reunion to consequence. The dungeon expedition serves as a pressure test for the alliances Arthur has built, and the episode title of what follows, 'The King Is Betrayed,' suggests the trust dynamics explored here carry significant forward weight.
