Episode 5 builds directly on Erin's discoveries in 'Secret in the Mist,' expanding her understanding of the Tohda and the moral complexities surrounding their care. It deepens the bond between Erin and Soyon while introducing new supporting characters, broadening the world before the story narrows toward the emotional trials of 'Soyon's Warmth.' Still firmly in the foundation-laying phase of this 50-episode journey, this installment is doing critical work establishing the themes and relationships that will carry the series forward.
