The Banished Court Magician Aims to Become the Strongest
Oshimeter
Synopsis
For years, Alec Ygret poured everything into his career as a court magician keeping his party alive with support magic: buffs, shields, healing, the thankless stuff that nobody notices until it's gone. His reward? The crown prince kicks him out, calls him incompetent, and gets him banished from the royal palace entirely. Turns out the guy propping everyone up was the first one thrown away. With nowhere to go, Alec reconnects with Yorha Eisentz, an old friend from their magic academy days, who invites him to rejoin their former adventuring party, Lasting Period, and get back to dungeon crawling on their own terms. What makes this 12-episode TV series worth your time is the premise it's built around: support magic actually matters here. Instead of the usual power fantasy where the banished hero reveals hidden offensive abilities, the show leans into the strategic side of combat: positioning, timing, party synergy. The dungeon designs reflect that too, forcing the group to think rather than just blast through everything. If you liked the tactical party dynamics in Log Horizon or the way Grimgar: Ashes and Illusions made every fight feel earned and dangerous, this hits a similar nerve. There's also a thread of The Rising of the Shield Hero's "prove everyone wrong" energy running through Alec's arc, though it's less angry and more quietly determined. It's a solid pick if you're into fantasy that treats teamwork as the real power system.

Overall, it's a decent anime, a typical Banished MC story but with a slightly different plot. And Is episode mein emotional resolution aur storytelling bilkul satisfying tha. plus next season ke liye bhi acha setup bhi hai. Animation aur comedy bhi kaafi ache the.
Pacing kabhi kabhi dialogue aur action ke beech thodi uneven feel hoti hai, lekin mid-fight mein Alec ke past aur Eldas ke connection ko explore karna kaafi interesting tha. Final battle ka animation bilkul smooth aur visually impressive tha. Action choreography aur magic effects dono hi outstanding lage. Okay, I take back what I said about that elf, Luorg. He's kind and all that, just really weird and icky, lol. Anyway, we got a cute moment for my two ships: first, with Krasia and Olivia, as well as Alec and Yorha. They're so adorable. Though the truth we ended up getting was pretty much incomplete in the case of Alec and, eventually, Yorha, we at least got to hear the truth in Olivia's case. It was, however, tragic. Dang it. Well, not enough to shed tears, though, unfortunately. That aside, they're off to more adventures again. Man, I want season 2 for this!
Hell naaah.... I was betting on Limit Breaker, but we're suddenly hit with a sword battle; come on T_T But it was also replaced by something even more exciting, so I guess I won't really need to complain about it. This timed battle plan was really good, and I didn't expect it to actually work on Melea. Olivia definitely rocked on this one, but Krasia absolutely stole the finality for it, literally and metaphorically.
Peak fight, and definitely sets the stage for the height of it in the next episode. My only issue is that Melea is starting to look more and more attractive XD freaking villains and their charisma lol. To be fair, his arrogance absolutely gets backed up by his insane skills. Truly a blademaster living up to his title. We finally got to see the five-colored magic that the guildmaster was talking about previously. This makes the fight even more interesting for the next ep. Olivia prioritizing Krasia's safety was also one heck of a bonus. I know they're friends, but I can't help but ship them anyway XD
This Gloria dude is bad news. He's not only creepy as heck, but he's also powerful enough in a weird way, making him a very annoying and difficult opponent. Lol, Gloria's anger issues are on a different level though XD Anyway, rather than the fight, I think the most compelling part of this episode was Gloria's past and his growth. It's far more interesting, especially given how he ended up as the 'genius' he claimed to be. Pretty sad, really.
Okay so we got two things by the first half: a one heck of a fight and Olivia's backstory here. I thought the fight would be the highlight but well, we're definitely up for more. That said, Olivia's master was also one hell of a bastard. He's wicked, and I'm not sure whether he would have any redemption, or twist in reason for the things he did. I have a feeling that he won't lol. We also got another forehead kiss, lol, yay. Anyway... Yorha..! T_T Alec, hurry the hell up, Yorha's in great danger, dude. What the heck. These disgusting villains, keep your filthy hands off Yorha.
I like Krasia's strict side, lol, so cute. That aside, I think the whole buildup for the upcoming fight is pretty good. Though I'm not happy with this samurai girl's methods, it's evident that she cares at least. I kinda freaking ship Krasia with her though???? XD That traitor, by the way, lowkey have the face card. Can't hold a candle against Krasia though. I'm feeling extra suspicious of that elf on the other hand. There's definitely something more about him. Honestly it just ticks me off given his personality, but lol, I hope he has more role in the future.
The ending felt optimistic and left plenty of room for more adventures. Just feeling that the ranking system doesnt really work out here. Although the fight scenes looked good enough, but as an S rank party i would expect more flashy combat in the future
The battle reaches its peak. The music and pacing kept the tension high.
