I really loved this movie and the approach it took with its story. Watching the main character overcome her childhood trauma and work through the emotional conflicts she faced had a huge impact on me, making this movie feel very personal and memorable.I also loved the cast of characters. None of them are perfect, and that's what makes them feel so realistic. Their flaws, struggles, and growth throughout the story made their character development incredibly satisfying to watch.More than anything, though, my favorite aspect of the movie was the soundtrack. The music was absolutely fantastic, and I especially loved what they did with the musical performance. The ending credits song was so good that I already know it's going straight into my playlist.

From the start of this movie it was already emotional, it carries this weight all throughout the movie. You find yourself rooting for Naruse and waiting for the end to see how she will overcome it all. And the ending didn't disappoint, though I wished there was more. A solid movie, go watch and prepare some tissues.

For a lighthearted anime movie, it has one of the most mature love story. I don't mean just romantic love, but also platonic love as well. How the weight of the feeling between friends, despite differences and argument, can still be overcome if you're willing to talk. Which is why it's so apt to have this movie main theme be 'communication'. The side love story was sacrificed of its depth because there's little screen time to show case it, but otherwise this is a movie well spent to watch.
