The last episode of season 1 finally sums everything up - A beautiful ending to a splendid season. Chise is finally able to relate to Joseph. The animation, soundtrack, pace and flow of storytelling are great here. One could feel every emotion alongside the characters.

Felt like the kind of finale that breathes and punches you. Pain, growth, hope, and just enough chaos to remind me this show never plays fair. I felt drained, satisfied, and oddly warm by the end. Not perfect, but it stuck the landing. Definitely worth the ride.

Beautiful conclusion for a pretty good show. Happy end for everyone involved,Chise and Stella celebrating their birthday, also proposal and marriage at the end. All in all very satisfying.

This is a perfect ending. It resolves the life-and-death stakes but keeps the story grounded in the characters' emotions. It tells us that while we can't erase our scars (like Chise’s arm), we can find people who love us because of them

it’s a beautiful and fitting finale. Pacing wraps things up emotionally without rushing. Animation is at its most stunning with seasonal and symbolic imagery. Chise and Elias’s journey reaches a meaningful point. Tone is hopeful, warm, and quietly magical.

I’m really gonna miss Chise and Elias TT This is honestly one of the best endings I’ve ever watched! Every moment in the episode felt carefully thought out, with no part feeling rushed or unnecessary. I’m already excited to jump into the OVAs after this - 10/10!!

Episode 24 serves as a reflective and emotionally grounded conclusion to Chise’s journey of self-acceptance. Rather than relying on spectacle, the finale prioritizes internal growth and relational nuance, particularly in Chise and Elias’ evolving dynamic.

EPISODE CONTEXT

As the twenty-fourth and final episode, 'Live and Let Live' directly follows the high-stakes confrontations of 'Nothing Seek, Nothing Find,' serving as the emotional and narrative payoff for the entire season's exploration of Chise and Elias's evolving bond. The episode functions as a culmination of every arc threaded throughout the series — from Chise's journey toward self-worth to Elias learning the meaning of connection — while also leaving space for the story to continue beyond this chapter.
