Devastated by the events of her last mission, Botan was consumed by guilt over the realization that she might have taken a life just to secure the shard. Unable to shake the weight of her actions, she made the difficult decision to quit the team. Worried about her fragile mental state and emotional well-being, management sent her back home to recover. It was there that Botan discovered the depth of her deceased mother’s love for her, a profound revelation that ultimately restored her resolve.
I think episode 8 acts like a filler episode, and the storytelling is much better than the previous episodes. Finally, there's some character development for Botan. We get to learn the secret behind Botan's birth. There's no action at all in this episode, which is actually quite refreshing.
Complete filler episode. Yes, there is ONE important thing that happens, but it's not worth the 20 minutes of episode. It isn't a "fun filler" episode either. Waste of time.
