I don't think this episode is necessary for the plot, but Botan is still a girl who wants to be normal, who wants to graduate from school life, just like everyone else. We also see the rift between Kuruma and Ryuunosuke because, I guess, not everyone on the same team is so perfect.
This time the story is a little lighter than the previous two episodes, so it can be enjoyed more freely. However, I think there is one scene where Botan's expression changes are made to transition from 3D to 2D, which turns out to look uneven or seems broken. Otherwise, the animation quality remains as usual and for me by episode 3 my eyes have started to get used to the animation.
The story is moving really slow by concentrating on problems that aren't necessary. If all episodes are likes this I think that this is worthless watching.
