I take back my previous statement: THIS is the best finale the show could have had, as it concludes the romantic plot in the funniest, most suitable way possible. Not a fan of the child-looking bride though.
It's a relaxing wedding episode for Seina. There's some action, but it's just a quick one. Then it shifts to a 'battle of love' to win Seina! It's enjoyable and not really suitable for kids. Overall, it's a good conclusion and doesn't feel rushed
the finale swings for everything — marriage proposals, political maneuvering, emotional payoffs, action, and comedy all happening at once. Seina discovering he is to marry Amane, Kiriko, Ryoko Balta and Neju all at once for galaxy-political reasons is the most GXP ending imaginable — absurd on the surface but actually the result of 26 episodes of very specific setup. the actual wedding ceremony is handled with surprising warmth and the final image of Seina surrounded by the people who chose to be in his orbit is exactly the right note to end on. not a perfect finale but an honest and affectionate one.
