EPISODE REVIEWS

This episode introduces an important, recurring side character, but does so in a distasteful manner; she's depicted to have the body and demeanor of a 9 year old, yet is treated as a romantic rival by Kiriko, Amane and Ryoko. While the episode does deliver important plot points, this is one of the weakest episodes overall.

A new character was introduced and became an important part of this episode. It also contained rivalry and jealousy moments over getting Seina's attention. There was a lot of fan service and it was not suitable for kids. Overall, near the end of the episode, it gave info that was crucial for future episodes

Neju's introduction as mission cargo and eventual crew member is a fun episode. the tiny girl who is secretly an extremely powerful priestess is a classic character type but Neju has enough personality quirks to feel fresh. the mission to transport her to GP HQ going predictably dangerous because Seina is involved is well executed and Neju's own reaction to Seina — immediately seeing through his unlucky surface to something she finds interesting — is a nice dynamic. the action is good this episode and the comedy doesn't undercut the genuine danger.
