I had mixed feelings while watching this episode, between being nervous about the fight and wondering about Ryoko's fate. While there were some things I wasn't satisfied with regarding the way Tenchi and Kagato's fight unfolded, I also appreciated the strong plot of the episode.

Here, all the characters in Tenchi’s group play a key role. Although the decisive battles may feel a bit short, the animation is quite good and dynamic for its time. Tenchi really shines a bit more during his battle with Kagato.
