Tenchi and his friends are in a tight spot with Kagato's sudden arrival. Who knows what will happen in the next episode? The plot is impressive, but for some reason, the swords Yosho and Kagato use are very similar to lightsabers. Finally, this episode begins to develop Tenchi's character.

I consider this episode a prelude to the main conflict, with good character development and plenty of action and drama. Don’t expect much comedy from this point on, except on rare occasions, because the focus is on the main plot.
