Episode Context

"Second Class" moves the action into Winston, where the smithy's future becomes a contest of persuasion rather than combat. Grid's blacksmith ambitions now run through other people: Khan carries the smithy's history and the villagers' stake in it, while Huroi brings a verbal, manipulative pressure that the Mero Company's intervention sharpens into open social conflict. Negotiation, quest mechanics, and competing interests drive the running time, and Grid's pursuit of a legacy tied to Pagma sits at the centre of it. The episode builds tension through conversation and strategy instead of a self-contained crafting showdown, keeping the fantasy game-world framing intact while the stakes stay local and personal. Pacing is brisk setup work, with the town as the stage and trust as the currency.
