📖 SYNOPSIS
The "Tekkon Kinkreet Pilot" began as a short CG exercise by Michael Arias using Softimage software. The project caught the attention of Morimoto, who then joined the effort. Visual Director Wilson Tang and Animation Supervisor Lee Fulton later presented the pilot to the Softimage staff. The entire pilot was created on computer by a team of only twelve individuals. The pilot's innovative animation and artistic merit were recognized with the Excellence Award at the 3rd Japan Media Arts Festival in the Digital Art Division. The project highlights the potential of small teams and computer animation.
